Farroupilha Route


Stage of the main political-military events in the south of Brazil during the 19th century, the Farroupilha Revolution (1835-1845). In this route old farms and museums open its doors for tourists offering the country living experience and, especially, information on the state’s history.






Cities:


Alegrete, Bagé, Caçapava do Sul, Camaquã, Guaíba, Pelotas, Piratini, Rio Grande, Rosário do Sul, Santana do Livramento, São Gabriel, São José do Norte and São Lourenço do Sul.

Don’t miss:

- Cassino Beach, Molhes da Barra and Rio Grande’s Museum complex;

- The old farms were once the home of the Farroupilha’s leaders.

- Enjoying the architecture of Jaguarão and also the shopping in the city’s Duty Free.
