An alternative all year round.

This route offers the visitors the quietness and peacefulness provided with its natural beauties such as the sand dunes, sea waves, currents and tides of the Rio Grande do Sul coastline. Available destinations are the Osso da Baleia (Whale Bone), Lagoa da Rondinha (Rondinha Lagoon) and the Lago Verde (Green Lake), where the monument in honour of Saint Rita de Cássia is located.

Besides those destinations, it is also possible to learn about the local biodiversity, for in this beach lots of birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, crustaceans, molluscs and plants are found. It is also a nice place to go sandboarding. 

Those who choose this destination will be visiting the City of Honey and will enjoy tasting the sweets, breads and other honey-tasting food.

Try not to miss

- The sandboarding, that is to say, slide down sand dunes with a type of surfboard;

- Meet the honey producers of the Vila do Mel (Honey Village), where one can follow all the honey production and other honey-based dishes.


 

Extend your trip

- Visiting the Roteiro dos Bons Ventos, in the city of Osório, where the travellers can visit several places of the Morro da Borússia Conservation Park and Windfarms of Osório, tasting the local cuisine and purchasing handcrafts from the local artisans;

- Going trekking and bird watching at Parque Nacional da Lagoa do Peixe, in Mostardas.
