International Ecotourism Destination: Animals and canyons of Brazil

An ecotourism journey through the natural diversity of Serra Gaucha (Gaucho Mountains) and Aparados da Serra. This is the purpose of the tour "Animals and canyons of Brazil," which provides tourists the experience of contemplation in two of the most beautiful destinations in Brazil: Gramado and Cambará do Sul, in Rio Grande do Sul state.
 
Visitors are invited to learn about the natural diversity of the Brazilian fauna in the Gramado Zoo and then visit the exuberant canyons of Cambara do Sul, rocky cliffs sculpted over millions of years that tell the history of the geological formation of our planet and the separation of continents.
 







Animals and canyons of Brazil is a tour of experience and contemplation for those who love nature. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the rich natural diversity in a series of canyons and also with the animals that are present in this landscape. Visiting the two destinations is also a way to emphasize the importance of environmental preservation showing that nature must be respected and protected.

Must-visit places:

- Itaimbezinho Canyon, the star of the region. It is the most famous canyon and one of the most beautiful in the region. Its walls measure 5.8 km in length, 720 meters deep and 600 meters wide. The name in Tupi-Guarani language was given by the indigenous tribe that inhabited the place meaning "sharp stone".

- Gramado Zoo. On a night Safari, visitors can observe nocturnal species, admiring the animals in enclosures specially designed for the welfare of the species under monitoring of environmental educators.
